The life of a Colourful Lady! Inspired by my Grandmother, Edna. Do you ever just feel that your would have love to step back in time into the worlds and stories of your grandmother - a place where little hats were worn each day, a new discovery of independence in a changing world? The things she would tell, such amazing adventures. She was a great lover of fashion, always was very youthful - a lady! So here are a few pictures of her and her style and hopefully you too may see a little bit of herpassionate essence that has inspired the Miss Unkon collection 'The Life of a Colourful Lady' which is instores now

Miss Edna - inspirations from Grandma

Inspiration and heart- The Life of a Colourful Lady, is a collection dedicated to my beautiful Grandmother who passed away last year. She is a lady who loved life and lived passionately as well as having a wonderful love of fashion!!!

I thought about her today....and wanted to say hello and share just some of the inspiration and character that she was.

The Miss Edna collar is actually inspired by one of her own creations for a little theatrical play that she was in .....this special piece will be out soon too in stores in September!!!

Night time happy snaps

A night in the life of miss unkon!!!

SO we are night owls...it's 2am and just had a fun & creative night with my little fabulous muse and model Alanda and Photographer Nellypro. It started off as a little dinner of yummies, chatties and talking about Alandas exciting move to the UK where she is off to experience the world and be a little star!!! But we couldn't help ourselves.... eventually we made our way into photos & Miss Unkon from a recent shoot & this is the result. Night time lovelies, a little bit romantic, a little bit like falling underwater in a dream.

Also showing a little sneaky peak at 'The Life of a Colourful Lady Collection' and all the magical and interesting ways the Happiness Is skirt can be worn.

So formula for fun = chats + icecream + 2am allnighters

today we had some fun

The fabulous Miss Unkon team, Becca Gilmartin, Alanda Noble, NellyPro, Jessie @ Jesselle Management had some fun today shooting for MX magazine.

MX has a fabulous little newie fashion mag called Gloss & Glam coming to all you lovely people in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne and is featuring Miss Unkon in the coming months!!!

So off we trooped into the bucketing down rain to the amazing location, bar/restaurant Cloudland in Brisbane. We were so inspired that we just had to pick up the camera & create our own little story...... And this is what we came up with!!!

A story with a little bit of sorbet sweetness and romance...our amazing model Alanda Noble (we love her) who also featured in our Rosemount Australian Fashion Week Show in a starring role, is featured here in the Becca Gilmartin for Miss Unkon ' Pretty Little Sparkles Headpiece'

So in the words of the amazing Becca Gilmartin...off we happy danced with smiles no matter if it is raining, hailing or shining.

The amazing Becca Gilmartin who creates the hair, Make-up & body artwork for Miss Unkon wove her magic on our beautiful model Alanda Noble, we love her!!! Nellypro created the pretty photos, Courtney Styling.
